Breastfeeding Mini Sessions: Sheep Pasture Easton, MA Photographer South Eastern, MA

A few weeks ago I had the great honor of photographing some of the most amazing women.  I am lucky to get to call them my friends.

So for National Breastfeeding Month I wanted to capture some special breastfeeding moments.  I think they are now my favorite photos.

Happy National Breastfeeding Month!!!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 14. Twilight shooting.

This week again its been a bit of a difficult week to get out of the house.  I wish I had the a good clouds that had those pink tones to them.  But that is ok I will try for that soon.  It was fun to go out and shoot just for the fun of it.  And not people. It was different and not in my norm.  I liked it.

I was not sure where to head to so I ended up making my way to Norton at what I believe is Winnecunnet Pond.  There was a few people out there ice fishing and it was fun to watch them.

Photography Challenge Week 13: Off Camera flash backlighting, Day light. South Eastern Photographer. Taunton, MA

This challenge turned out much better then I thought.  I have been sick for the last few days so I really thought this would not be fun.  Today I sucked it up and dragged myself and my little one out to do some photos.  She had fun with it and I think they turned out great.  I even got some real smiles.  I really hope you all like them as much as I do.  I can't wait to print them.

Arie: Fall mini session: Easton, MA Sheep Pasture

I am trying to catch up on all my blogging!!!  A few months ago I did fall mini sessions at the Sheep Pasture in Easton, MA.  It's a beautiful location. One of the little ones I got the privilege to photograph that day was my good friends Rebecca and Ryan's beautiful daughter Arie.  I thought at first she would be a little shy but she started striking poses and really hamming it up.

Photography Challenge Week 11: Free Lensing South Eastern, MA Photographer.

This was the most challenging challenge yet.  Free Lensing is no easy task.  It will take many tries for me to master this (if I ever master).  But all the frustration is well worth it when you get the right effect. It can make a shot look dreamy.  Out of all the shots I took I only really loved one.  This one of my daughter.  It looks dreamy to me.

Family photos: Family photographer Easton, MA

I am playing catch up on a bunch of blog posts.  I was holding out for awhile so that I didn't ruin anyone's Christmas presents. Needless to say over the next few days I will be blogging a lot.

This family was so much fun to photograph.  And one of my first large groups to do. I believe there are 18 of them.  It was so much fun.  And I truly think I love photographing large groups. It was a great session. I We got them all in and just as we where finishing up the skies opened up and it started to pour.

Photography Challenge Week 7: Light Painting South Eastern, MA Photographer

I have been waiting for this challenge.  I had it in my head how it would go.  I thought I was going to be able to use my flash light for the whole thing.  I thought I would be able to write words with it.  Guess what writing words with a big flash light doesn't work.  So off I went to staples today to buy a small flash light or a laser pointer.  I ended up buying these really cool small flash lights with glow stick bottoms.  I think this will be great for light painting.  I didn't have time to use them yet but I promise a post later this week with my new light painting photos.  This is  a fun concept and I cant wait to try them at a session.
For this I had to use what was on hand though.  So I used the big flash light and my willow tree Nativity set figures.  I light the flash light right over mary to give it a spot light effect.  then swirled the flash light fast to illuminate the other figure just a little.

Photography Challenge Week 6: Backlighting, South Eastern MA photographer

This challenge was a quick one for me.  I am glad there was inside options as it has been far to cold for me to do outside work.   This weeks challenge was all about back lighting with any light source.  At first I tried my daughters night light but that was just not enough so I used a small led flash light.  I really liked the results and I can not wait to try this again.  Will be fun to do at a wedding.

Photography Challenge Week 5: Starry Night Sky, Taunton, MA

This challenge was a difficult one.  Not only do you need to get your setting just right but you need the perfect night to get the stars just right.  I loved trying this challenge. I found the challenge to be with light pollution   Some day I will get myself to the beach or the middle of a field somewhere on a very starry night and get some great shots. For my first try I think they came out pretty good.  I can't wait to try this again.

Oh so CUTE!!!

A few weeks ago I got to do Ella's 6 month photos. I cant believe it had been 6 months since I did her newborns.  She is just too cute.

She made me work for every smile but it was so worth it

I took a photo of Ella in a pink bucket for her newborn sessions.  I also took a photo in the same bucket for her 6 month session.  I love to see the growth.

Toy Story 3/365

I feel like my poor little 365 day project is going to be all my little Sophia.  I will try to mix it up for you all in the future.  But she is one cute little subject to be photographing.
Sophia loves toy story.
Tonight while watching toy story my husband surprised our daughter with a buzz light yeah and woody.

I wanted to make sure you could see the TV in the back ground. Notice the movie.

Sophia loves to read!  She will sit in her room and pull every book off of her book shelf and read them all to herself.  I just really wish she would be as excited to put them back.

365 project

I have seen many photographers doing 365 day projects. One photo every day for a year. Well I am a little slow to the game and I am starting a little late. But here it goes.
I am doing this in hopes that I will photograph MY life more, my little girl more, my puppy, new things, and the world around me. I am doing this so I will pick up my camera way more than I do already (everyday) and learn new things, try new things and have new adventures. I am doing this so I can see what I am capable of and so you as readers, clients, future clients can see as well. I am challenging myself. I hope to learn a lot from this experience.
So here is the first one.
Day 1/365
Today my little one and I had her "Music Together" Class. She loves it and so do I.
I plan on doing a whole blog post on her class.

I hope you like day one of my 365 day project.

Baxter the dog

.
I thought I would make a blog post about my first baby. He is 5 going on 6. He is 65 lbs of pure muscle. He sleeps all day, snores so loud, and well let’s just say he doesn't smell like roses. But I love him. He is camera shy so getting photos of him as of late has been difficult. (This may be due to me dressing him up in costumes  as a puppy and taking lots of photos. LOL.) But the other day my daughter wanted to read him stories while he was sunning himself. I grabbed my camera quick. Here is what I caught

Mid story this little guy decided to take a nap. Sitting up.

This is what he is normally like when I bring out the camera.  Ready to bark and tell me to get the camera out of his face.
